Paramedics qualify via a BSc Paramedic Science or a paramedic degree apprenticeship, then register with the HCPC. It's a fast-growing role with a clear route on to advanced practice.

- From Healthcare Assistant: BSc Paramedic Science or paramedic degree apprenticeship (~3 yrs)
- From Emergency Care Assistant: BSc Paramedic Science (HCPC-approved) (~3.5 yrs)
- From Associate Ambulance Practitioner: Paramedic degree top-up / conversion (~2.5 yrs)

~£3,200–£4,000; via Advanced Learner Loan, WRITTEN OFF on completing an HE course. Free for some 19–23 without a Level 3.
